Privacy policy
What happens to the information you send us, in plain language. Last updated 15 July 2026.
In short
We use your details to answer you, and for nothing else.
This website sets no tracking cookies, runs no analytics, embeds nothing from anyone else, and makes no third-party requests. The only thing stored in your browser is which language you chose. We do not sell or rent your details, and we do not send marketing.

Cookies and tracking
There are none.
We set no cookies. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, no social media embed, no chat widget, no third-party font or script. Nothing on this site reports your visit to anyone.
One thing is stored locally in your own browser: your language choice (English or Russian), so the site opens in your language next time. It never leaves your device, it is not an identifier, and clearing your browser data removes it.
Why we may lawfully use it
To reply to you and to do the job.
- To answer your enquiry. You asked us a question; we use your details to answer it. Where the GDPR applies, that is our legitimate interest in responding to a request you made.
- To perform a contract. Once you place an order, we need your details to buy, inspect, export and ship the goods to you.
- To meet legal duties. Customs, export and tax rules require certain shipment records to be kept and declared.
Who else sees it
Only those who have to, to move your goods.
Fulfilling an order means other parties genuinely need some of your details — a freight forwarder needs a delivery address, customs needs a consignee. We share the minimum needed, and only for your order:
- Freight forwarders and carriers — to book and move your shipment.
- Customs authorities in China and in your country — because the law requires it.
- Suppliers and factories — normally only the specification, not your identity, unless you ask us to introduce you.
- Our bank — to receive your payment.
We never sell your data, never rent it, and never pass it to advertisers or data brokers.
Where it goes
Your details are handled in China and Hong Kong.
We are based in China and our registered office is in Hong Kong SAR, so the information you send us is received and processed there. If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, this means your data leaves that area.
The UK and the EU have not issued an adequacy decision for mainland China. We rely on the transfer being necessary to answer your request and to perform the contract you asked us to carry out. If that matters to you, please raise it with us before sending anything you would rather not have processed here.
How long we keep it
As long as the work needs, and no longer.
| Record | Kept for |
|---|---|
| An enquiry that goes nowhere | Up to 24 months |
| Customer and order records | 7 years after the last order |
| Shipping and customs documents | As long as the law requires |
Ask us to delete an enquiry sooner and we will, unless we are legally required to keep it.
Your rights
Ask us and we will act on it.
Wherever you are, you can ask us to do any of the following, free of charge. Email info@rukyan.com and we will respond within 30 days.
- See what we hold about you, and get a copy.
- Correct it if it is wrong.
- Delete it, where we are not legally required to keep it.
- Object to us using it, or ask us to restrict how we use it.
- Take it elsewhere — we will send it in a portable format.
- Complain to your data protection regulator. In the UK that is the ICO; in the EEA it is your national authority.
Security, and changes
Two last things.
This site is served over an encrypted connection, and access to enquiries is limited to the people who handle them. No transmission over the internet is ever completely secure, so please do not send us passwords or payment card numbers by email — we will never ask you for them.
If we change this policy we will change the date at the top of the page. If the change is significant and we hold your details, we will tell you directly.
